Congrats on this inspired idea for a Substack, Rosalie! 👏 I think that promoting and showcasing the good work of other creatives generates a wonderful energy of its own. Looking forward to reading your book reviews!

Thanks, Baird! It's so fun and refreshing to shine a light on other artists' work, especially when art is your job and you have to spend so much time marketing your own work. Glad to have you around!

Aw, I'm still slated for an Asheville event next summer at the North Carolina Arboretum! It might be a bit of a drive for you, but would love to see you there. Book talk/opening date TBA.

Hi, y'all.

I am new to the book club. I'm a nature nerd; writer; artist; advocate for Mother Nature & women's health/well-being. I'm excited for you, Rosalie, and happy to be student/participant/cheerleader...Love your work and will be purchasing your watercolor book.

What a wonderful idea and perfect timing. I have started teaching watercolor painting through my local library system and want to have a list of library books to offer those who take my classes. This will be so inspiring. I can also have a list at our local independent bookstore. I’m very excited. This is wonderful!

You've hit a soft spot in my heart! Looking forward to reading your favorites, too.

If you're ever in the Cleveland area, I'd be happy to host you, and you could do a signing at Loganberry Books, in my neighborhood. (We have 4 bookstores within walking distance!)

This is such a lovely idea, can’t wait to participate! I’ve requested my local library to purchase Ornithography. Another beautiful nature book I enjoyed recently was Illuminating Nature by Jon Reynolds, who I think might be in the Cincinnati area. Not only is his photography stunning, but he includes some wonderful passages from other nature writers and artists, as well as his own reflections about capturing the scenes he includes. Thanks for starting this new adventure!
